Photographer Susi Childers (Germany) & husband Paul (NZ/USA) will challenge us on global issues of gender-based injustice & human trafficking, through their seminars, their prayer booklet, A Voice for the Voiceless, and an outstanding photo exhibition.
The schedule can be downloaded as a pdf (24kb).
Plenaries
‘Plenaries’ are sessions when everyone gathers (from Latin plenus, full). Some conferences consist mainly of plenary sessions with just a few ‘big names. But this festival is designed to encourage many to share, teach, perform and minister. However, the three evening sessions will provide the ‘backbone’ of the festival. We can look forward to Lynn, Braulia and Loren showing us the bigger picture of what God is saying to us as a mission today.
Lisa Cuellar and her team of musicians have been diligently preparing to lead us in worship together. Each evening we will also have a short mission focus- gender injustice, children and China. Our last plenary on Monday morning will wrap up the festival, and will remain an open session for us to respond to what God has been saying to us.
Worship stations
Each morning begins with a variety of 30-minute worship stations in several locations. You can start your day choosing between meditative, liturgical, children’s worship, or celebration in the main tent.
• See below for descriptions and locations of worship stations
Seminars
The morning seminars are a major part of the festival, focussing on mission challenges we face in Europe and beyond. Spread over four sessions, two on Saturday, and one each on Sunday and Monday, some 28 seminars will help you sample a wide range of needs and opportunities from both YWAM and non-YWAM practioners.
Some seminars are presented as a series, such as evangelism or marriage and family. One special series, The Caleb Track, is designed for older participants, and for those with a career behind them wanting to know how to (re-) connect in missions.
We hope these seminars will help you link up with those who share your ministry interests, and develop relationships that last long after the festival.
• See below for a full listing of seminars
Concerts
On both Saturday and Sunday afternoons, singers and musicians will take the stage in 30 minute segments. Starting at 2pm, concerts will continue through the afternoon until 4pm. These concerts are intended to draw out hidden and not-so-hidden talents in our midst.
• See below for the concert programme
Tours
Each afternoon, tour guides will take tours around Herrnhut departing from the bell-tower by the Moravian church hall in the town centre at 2, 3 & 4pm. Tours will visit the Moravian Church Hall, Gottesacker and the Watch Hill, (Hutberg). A short walk to Bethelsdorf will also bring you to the Zinzendorf homestead and the Lutheran church where the 1727 outpouring occurred.
