What is the University of the Nations?

Welcome to the University of the Nations, active in locations all across Europe.

Since 1977, YWAM has been developing a global educational network now called the University of the Nations (U of N), with Dr. Howard Malmstead as provost. Several resource campuses are being developed around the world, key ones including Hawaii, Korea, Kenya, Togo, New Zealand, Tonga, and Switzerland.

Degree courses are modular, meaning that courses are taken in modules of three months in one location. However, courses that gain U of N credit are held in hundreds of YWAM locations.

The U of N is a mission university and trains young people for effective missions involvement. Following a U of N course involves practical involvement in cross-cultural situations. While attaining academic standards, the emphasis is on character development and practical application of knowledge gained. U of N catalogues are available on request.
