YWAM, an international interdenominational Christian ministry, consists of about 700 locations with over 12,000 volunteer staff worldwide in about 150 countries.
Consistent with the way we have felt God leading us over the years to become a family of ministries (rather than a very structured, centralized agency), we do not have an international headquarter. It would be more appropriate to refer to YWAM as a movement, than as an organization.
While we have a Global Leadership Team (regional and international leaders that provide oversight) that meets once a year to pray, discuss vision and address major trends and issues, actual decision making is in the hands of each local YWAM ministry (e.g., planning outreach and training programs, recruitment and financial resource development).
Each YWAM location does its own mobilizing and training, and sets its own priorities in carrying out ministry. Because there is no centralized application process for people interested in our worldwide outreaches or training programs, please contact individual YWAM ministries directly.
